Deuteron Wax A
Deuteron-WAX A is a micronized polyamide wax characterized by a fine particle size distribution and good ease of dispersion.
Deuteron-WAX A is used as a matting agent to produce a mat or silk finish in all types of furniture and wood lacquers. In metal decorating and coil applications Deuteron-WAX A can be used to improve water resistance, slip properties and mar resistance in a wide range of general and special, solvent-based and water-based coatings. In powder coatings the wax is used as a flattening agent.
Deuteron-WAX A shows excellent heat stability, chemical resistance and hardness. It shows better recoatability compared to micronized waxes based on polyethylene or polypropylene. The dispersed wax shows resistance to settling. Additionally it retards the settling of pigments and fillers and assists in their redispersion. The product has been designed specifically for incorporation in lacquers and coatings using high speed stirring only. This makes the production process more economic.
